Senior Analyst - IT - Business
Custom Job Purpose
This position exists to perform responsible work for all modules and serves as a liaison to a major business area(s) requiring advanced and complex professional and technical work including system and business documentation, system design, and assistance and support to system trainers and super users.
Essential Functions of this Job
Provides support to appropriate business area(s) in understanding SAP business processes. Serves as business liaison to provide new or enhanced functionality in SAP. Documents system user needs and problems and implements appropriate corrective actions. Designs and engineers solutions necessary to develop or add new functions within the SAP environment. Designs solutions and configures assigned modules to meet business requirements. Serves as core function team member for system upgrades and performs unit tests as required for implementation of support packages, and system upgrades. Documents each new or changed business process procedure, report, service or utility and describes solutions to Help Desk and training team for users. Maintains both business and technical knowledge to enhance user productivity. Provides second level support to Help Desk operations. Cross-trains in multiple modules. Works closely with all outside consultants.

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Five or more years' experience in a related business environment required. Public sector experience preferred. Experience with SAP R/3 or other ERP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Detailed knowledge about business processes, systems, policies and procedures. Ability to use a variety of word processing, spreadsheet or database applications. A general understanding of relational databases and programming logic. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators and staff in district offices and departments. Bilingual/biliterate preferred.
Work Context
Requires sitting, standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams.
Physical Environment
Requires light work indoors, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
