Senior Coordinator, Evaluation Operations & Systems

Custom Job Purpose

This position exists to lead the operational implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of the district’s employee evaluation systems. The Senior Coordinator ensures evaluation processes function efficiently, data are accurate and reliable, systems are consistently applied across schools and departments, and evaluation activities remain audit‑ready and scalable to support districtwide accountability and modernization efforts.

Essential Functions of this Job

Provides districtwide leadership for the day‑to‑day operation and administration of employee evaluation systems, including the district’s evaluation platform (Journey) and related HR systems.
• Coordinates evaluation timelines, processes, and workflows to ensure consistent implementation across all employee groups.
• Oversees evaluation data quality, validation, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Develops, maintains, and distributes operational guidance, procedures, and documentation related to evaluation processes.
• Leads the preparation of evaluation data, documentation, and reports to support audits, compliance reviews, and public records requests.
• Analyzes operational evaluation data and system performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Serves as a primary point of contact for complex operational issues related to evaluation systems and coordinates resolution with HR, IST, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Supports district leadership by producing operational reports related to evaluation completion, compliance, and system usage.

 

Participates in TEAC, district committees or workgroups related to employee evaluation or continuous improvement.
• Assists with system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and implementation of new evaluation features or tools.
• Supports special projects related to evaluation modernization, system integration, or process redesign.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  •  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
    • Understanding of research methods required.
    • Experience in analysis related to program evaluation preferred.
    • Knowledge of state evaluation requirements and measures preferred.
    • Experience in a school setting as teacher and/or administrator preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of employee evaluation systems and operational processes in large K–12 public school districts.
• Knowledge of Florida laws, rules, and policies related to employee evaluation and records management.
• Skill in managing complex operational workflows and ensuring consistency across multiple sites.
• Skill in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to support operational monitoring and decision‑making.
• Ability to identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Ability to communicate technical and procedural information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.

Work Context

Requires some sitting and standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires work with internal and external contacts, and with the public.

Physical Environment

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires sitting, standing, moving about, and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects frequently weighing up to 20 pounds and infrequently weighing more than 20 pounds.
