Custom Job Purpose

The Senior Analyst of Supplier Diversity will play a key role in assisting the organization in implementing and providing ongoing support of our Supplier Diversity initiatives by providing analytical and administrative support activities focusing on tracking and reporting on the Supplier Diversity Program for both Federal and State-funded Goods and ; Services procurement. Responsible for partnering with various business units to utilize data analytics to report key Supplier Diversity Metrics to identify key insights necessary to achieve supplier diversity goals.

Essential Functions of this Job

Proven experience in supplier diversity, procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.  In-depth knowledge of supplier diversity best practices, regulations, and industry trends.  Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive supplier diversity strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to analyze and interpret data to measure the impact of supplier diversity initiatives. Familiarity with supplier diversity certifications and diverse supplier databases. Comprehensive knowledge of procurement/purchasing best practices.  Ability to develop guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure the equitable participation of Veteran, Minority and small businesses. Knowledge. Experience in working with stakeholders to encourage, develop and implement supplier diversity targets and goals. Familiarity with reporting, tools and technologies that support a supplier diversity program.  Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships. Ability to work independently and produce results with minimum direction. Ability to work in ambiguous environments.  Ability to exercise creative and critical thinking in evaluating situations and developing solutions.  Ability to influence and work well with senior level management, peer and individual contributors across university and be comfortable communicating across all levels. Knowledge of the current local business community, especially as it pertains to Veteran, minority and small businesses. Ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem solving. Ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources. Synthesize information into succinct, concise, and logical summaries and reports. Strong interpersonal skills, high degree of presentation skills. Superior negotiation skills to influence campus partners and leaders on strategic direction, business case value proposition and process improvements. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of similar and/or equivalent work experience in compensation, personnel, payroll, or Human Resources preferred. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and SHRM-CP, PHR preferred. Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to prioritize among multiple tasks, be detail oriented and able to work independently and productively

Work Context

Requires some sitting and standing, walking, and moving about to coordinate work. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones, and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams. Requires work with internal and external contacts, and with the public.

Physical Environment

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires travel at times to schools and worksites within the district. Requires sitting for most of the day and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects infrequently weighing up to 20 pounds.
